You have the opportunity through the Chapter 13 Bankruptcy Plan to propose how your plan payments will be used. These plan payments can be used to bring mortgage plan payments current, or to pay delinquent taxes that may not be dischargeable, or to give preference to payment of child support arrears or other special types of debts and accounts.

A Chapter 13 Bankruptcy filing can also simply bring the protection of the bankruptcy court and provide time for a financial reorganization through sale of assets or a refinance of a home or real property.
We do not generally charge a fee for an initial consultation. Call our office if you would like to learn more about filing a Chapter 13 Bankruptcy with Steven P. Weinberg & Associates.
ARE YOU CHECKING ON A CHAPTER 13 CASE THAT HAS ALREADY BEEN FILED?

If your Chapter 13 Bankruptcy has already been filed and you want to check the status of your bankruptcy case you can go to the Trustee's Website and check the case status at almost anytime using your case number and personal information.
We have a handout on the Downloads Page that may help you understand how the Trustee disburses your plan payments.
